Mac/Val
Les journĂ©es europĂ©ennes du patrimoine ont Ă©tĂ© cette annĂ©e l’occasion de visiter le musĂ©e d’art contemporain du Val-de-Marne (gĂ©nĂ©ralement abrĂ©gĂ© en MAC/VAL) situĂ© Ă Vitry-sur-Seine. InaugurĂ© en novembre 2005, c’est le premier musĂ©e d’art contemporain installĂ© en banlieue parisienne. Lors de ces journĂ©es, une visite axĂ©e sur l’architecture du batiment est organisĂ©e.
The European Heritage Days this year was the opportunity to visit the museum of contemporary art of Val-de-Marne (usually abbreviated as MAC / VAL) located in Vitry-sur-Seine. Opened in November 2005, this is the first contemporary art museum located in the Paris suburbs. On these days, a visit focused on the architecture of the building is organized.
La surface de cet Ă©quipement, construit par lâarchitecte Jacques Ripault, est de 13 000 m2, dont 4 000 dĂ©diĂ©s aux expositions permanentes et temporaires. Le musĂ©e est entourĂ© dâun jardin public de 10 000 m2. Le bĂątiment reprend les codes de l’architecture de Le Corbusier (Pilotis, Toit terrasse, fenĂȘtres Ă bandeaux…)
The surface of this equipment, built by architect Jacques Ripault is 13 000 m2, including 4000 dedicated to the permanent and temporary exhibitions. The museum is surrounded by a park of 10,000 m2. The building contains the codes of the architecture of Le Corbusier (Piles, roof terrace, window banners …)
